Gear I actually use
Nothing on this page is on loan. I bought it, it’s in the rack or on the desk right now, and if it broke tomorrow I’d replace it.
Networking
The mesh, the switch, the analyzer. Every box on my rack earns its space.

Klein Tools Ethernet Cable Tester (VDV526-200)
The cheap tester that has lived in my bag for years.
Audio
A working mic chain and the earbuds I actually wear all day.
Desk Setup
The desk, the monitor, the arm, the cable tray. Things you touch every day.
About NodeRig
I've been wiring houses, racks, and desks for twenty years, first as a network engineer and now as the only person at NodeRig. The channel started because every gear review I could find was either a paid placement or a benchmark dump with no opinion attached.
Great at multiple things, master of none. The site covers networking, audio, and desk setups because those three end up touching each other in any real home rig. Networking decides how fast the audio software talks to the interface. The desk decides where the mic lives. The mic decides which of the three you actually listen to.
Everything I review I buy at retail. If a company sends me hardware I send it back. The setup you see in every video is the one I actually work from. When something on this page changes (a new switch, a different mic, a desk reset) the site changes with it.
